Kim Holmberg is chief operating officer of Journal Communications, based in Franklin. One of Journal's founders was Alex Haley, author of Roots, and his personal motto – "Find the Good and Praise It" – serves as the company mission statement. As publisher for the Tennessee Vacation Guide, Tennessee Home & Farm, Nashville Visitors Guide and 80 other print and digital programs across the country, Journal specializes in data-driven and creative storytelling for the travel, relocation, economic development and agriculture industries. A native of Crockett County, Kim is especially passionate about promoting rural Tennessee.
